About
Alex is a CIRES Research Scientist working within the Hydrology Applications Division of NOAA's Physical Sciences Laboratory.
Alex came to CIRES/NOAA PSL following a Postdoc at Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences with a focus on paleoclimate modeling at the University of Michigan in 2021.
Alex's background is in global climate modeling where he has explored hydroclimate extremes in the past, present, and future. At CIRES/NOAA PSL, Alex is developing high resolution regional climate model simulations for the continental US to help inform studies on extreme precipitation.
