The new FV3GFS with 'replay' capability.

Abstract
The second public release of the NGGPS global model is scheduled for March 15. I will go over the features of the new release, including the addition of 'replay' capability. Replay is a method for forcing a model run to follow an observed trajectory. It is similar in spirit to nudging, but without some of the undesirable damping properties. If the forecast model is identical to that used in the data assimilation cycle, replay exactly reproduces the analyses that are being 'replayed' to. Some potential applications of replay will be discussed that may be of interest to PSL.
You must provide an accepted form of identification at the Visitor Center to obtain a vistor badge. Security personnel also inspect vehicles prior to entrance of the site. Please allow extra time for these procedures.
After receiving a badge, you must arrive at the DSRC Lobby at least 5 minutes before the seminar starts to meet your security escort. If you arrive after that time, you will not be allowed entry.
