Scott Gregory joined PSL’s Forecast and Modeling Development Team in November where he is working to develop quality-consistent and fully documented reanalysis and reforecast data assimilation databases. Prior to coming to PSL, Scott worked in the ESRL Global Systems Division’s Earth Modeling Branch, and at a wind energy forecasting company, Precision Wind, where he performed statistical post processing of Numerical Weather Prediction outputs.

Scott has an MS in Atmospheric Science from the University of Colorado as well as BS and MS degrees in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. With the engineering degrees, he began his career as a specialist in submarine acoustics. Throughout his career, Scott has focused on development and implementation of algorithms that manage, analyze, and visualize large data sets.

Outside of work, Scott is an outdoor enthusiast enjoying all four seasons of outdoor activities on the Front Range and in the mountains of Colorado.
