Abstract

Abstract will be posted closer to the seminar date.

Angela Rowe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Her research group focuses on collecting and analyzing data to better understand cloud and mesoscale processes leading to high-impact weather around the world. Their primary observational tool is weather radar, of multiple wavelengths and platforms, to study precipitating systems in a range of environments: from tropical oceanic convection associated with the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) to frontal systems and convective storms with and without impacts of mountainous terrain.
