About

Ryan Harp is a research physical scientist with the NOAA Physical Sciences Laboratory (PSL) Hydrology Applications Division and the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS). Ryan's primary research focus is on the predictability and broader impacts of drought. His work has also examined climate variability, precipitation, as well as the impacts of climate on human health and, particularly, vector-borne disease. Ryan came to PSL from positions as an Ubben Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Northwestern University and the NOAA-CDC Climate and Health postdoctoral researcher.
